Mastermind Alliance II: MVP

In 1976, Apple released their first computer. It was mainly hardware, a board. The two Steve’s sold the belongings to make it happen. Woz sold his awesome calculator and Jobs his VW car. They enlisted a buyer who made an order but they didn’t have capital to fulfill the order, regardless they moved things around and managed to create the required units. This was their MVP (Minimum Viable Product) and it was a success, the start of Apple computers. After their MVP, they set their eyes on designing and creating a fully-fledged computer to be named the “Apple 2”. They formed a “Mastermind Alliance” with Mike Murkela who funded them for a ownership stake in the start-up. A mastermind alliance is an understanding or a partnership that two or more entities share to get to a particular goal. It was a perfect union. Murkula got an ownership stake for his investment and a business and the two Steve’s got capital to build the Apple 2 and business experience, guidance and mentorship from the more father-figure Murkula. The release of Apple 2 was a success and everyone was rewarded. Apple 2 is the reason, there is a Apple today. But without a mastermind alliance nothing big can really happen because a company needs resources and infrastructure to expand. Nothing lasts forever and it’s difficult to stay on top. A master alliance helps establish a competitive advantage – imitators are usually rife after the success of a product. Steve Jobs established a closed system for Apple and made it exclusive and further used vertical integration as a business model. Vertical integration is when a company controls all its operations from manufacturing to distribution. Apple has its own operating system, distribution system with Apple stores, ITunes and retail stores, it controls the whole experience. When Apple said “Think Different”, they meant it. They are on a class of their own, they are alone. They will always have a competitive advantage because all of their products are linked. Everything is custom-made for the Apple user. Epic games are suing Apple for charging too much commission, but I feel it’s in vain because they Epic games are operating in Apples domain. It’s like somebody making the rules in your house. The Apple store is Apples, they decide how much commission to charge, if you don’t like it – tough! Yes they are operating as monopoly but their business model enabled them to be distinguished, they deserve their power because they created the market – this is the brilliance of Apple. After the MVP, you need a mastermind alliance, it is vitally important.

Late 1880’s Coca-Cola wanted to turn 2 million into 2 trillion by 2034. Their plan to get there was Classical conditioning and Operant conditioning. Classical conditioning is how you learn naturally and progressively. You know fire is hot because it burned you. Operant conditioning is taught and programmed like wearing your mask and using hand sanitizer. To make their conditioning effective they used excessive advertising. Their advertising was mainly psychological – there’s something about seeing a beautiful woman that you absolutely have no chance with drink Coca-Cola, it makes you do things, it appeals to subconscious urges and desires. Coca-Cola utilized Billboards, other print, radio and TV for their campaigns, it was widespread. Distribution was also key, it needed to be available everywhere, that way it would be credible. They trademarked their brand and perfected their secret recipe. They could have achieved their 2 trillion goals years ago but they ran into some trouble over the years like changing the secret recipe but they recovered – business is never linear. Still they are well on their way.

A successful mastermind alliance needs smart and intelligent people who can plan and forecast the future. It needs big picture thinking. It needs a lot of enthusiasm and capital deployment, money is important because without it, you can’t do much. It needs reflective thinkers, analytical thinkers, practical thinkers whose ideas are grounded in reality. Ultimately business is a team sport, whoever has the best team, best game-plan and capital has a big advantage. There must be good chemistry, confidence, trust and hard work.

Survival mode

There is an organ in your brain called the amygdala. It is called the reptilian brain. It is responsible for fight or flight phenomena. It is reactive, it is agile, it is most likely to save your life in this fast paced world where anything and everything can happen to you; Murphys law, sometimes life can be difficult for no reason at all. When this organ is active, you are fearful, reactive, it is life or death. Governments everywhere in the world use fear to govern and they target the amygdala. You can’t rule a happy people hence tormenting people is the only way to do it. That’s why there’s never any good news on mainstream media, it’s all news that make you emotional, angry, fearful, reactive and exposed to manipulations. We know there’s a virus because they tell us, they even know how many people are dying daily and so you must know about it every day, every minute, every second!

People are on survival mode, reactive and used like chess pawns. This is deliberately induced, hence the turmoil. We are living in a world of Social Scientists and World Controllers. Huxley warned us on “Brave New World”. This is Ivan Pavlov’s operant conditioning, it is meant to cause trauma to the people. Everyone’s amygdala is always activated and so chaos ensues.

We need to stop reacting. We need to disconnect to reconnect. This is not good for mental vitality, all this surviving and scrumbling of bread crumbs. Everything is what you make it. We need to stop reacting and think. One lives on survival mode because he wants to. The amygdala is in the brain, we have to think. Bad things happen, we all know that, this is life. It is suffering, the Bible says so as well. You must not feel sorry for yourself. Never wallow, no self-pity, carry on with your life because there’s no recess, everything else will happen without you. You’re not even that important, no one is. It’s your choice to live in a state of fear but don’t expect abundance. Never survive, thrive in all seasons. A life of fear has no utility.

Successful people make their own luck. Both sides on their coins are heads and their dice always roll seven. They don’t take chances. Successful people control results, they don’t let results control them. This is why many successful people have an elevated view of the world. An elevated perspective helps you distance yourself from situations. It enables you to plan and forecast the future. Jeff Bezos is a master of looking into the future. He builds for the future. For years Amazon had been operating at a negative deficit but he kept on expanding and convincing his investors to look at the long-term prospects of the company. Today Amazon is one of the most valuable companies in the world, one of the most profitable and sells absolutely everything. Jeff, achieved this with Amazon because he delayed gratification and elevated his perspective. His investments and acquisitions have been outstanding. He purchased Alexa, Twitch and was one of the early investors of Google – investing $2 Million when it was just a start-up and today Google is the pulse of the internet if not the world. Let’s not forget Blue Origin, a space company whose ambition is to colonize Mars.

Jeff Bezos is a visionary, no wonder he is the world’s richest man. He is a man who knows what he wants. He is a man of great innovation and ambition and he is deliberate about it. When he sees potential, he sinks his teeth into it. He is a long-term thinker. Having an elevated perspective helps achieve his goals and create space for innovation.

This is a trait of all successful individuals, Focus and long-term thinking. It has worked for Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and Elon Musk. Steve Jobs also had the reality distortion field that enabled Apple to be the most valuable company in the world. Successful people are deliberate about what they want to see. They apply a lot of focus and resources to win. Successful people don’t wait for chance or speculate on the future, they have successful systems that enable them to win. Valuable people in the world.

Everyone in the world is valuable in a equal matter. We are all one, we all come from one source. There is a serious delusion spreading and we think we are our ego. This is not true, the ego is made up of external situmuli and that is an hallucination of the mind. At a fundamental level, we are just consciousness merely experiencing itself. We are the Universe, we are nature. Your self-importance is just an illusion. Science explores this topic with its work on the big bang. According to science, the big bang is the start of everything. Everything in the world, the mountains, the ocean, the birds, rocks, life in general is a result of this big bang. Everything in the universe is connected and all is energy and vibration. The rules of the universe are concise, they are backed up by science, mathematics, the stars, pyramids, shapes and numbers. Humanity has so much esoteric knowledge.

Leonardo Da Vinci expresses the very same sentiments with his Vitruvian man drawing. It expresses that man is perfect like nature. Man is the golden ratio of 1.618 PHI, that appears in all of nature. The number PHI, 1.618 is considered the most beautiful number in the universe because it appears everywhere in nature and life. Da Vinci’s Vitruvian man is PHI, 1.618. Da Vinci actually exhumed corpes to measure the exact proportions of human body structure. He was the first to show that the human body is literally made of building blocks whose proportional ratios always equal PHI, 1.618.

You are nature. You are life. You are awe-inspiring and because everything is everything, death is nothing to be feared but the next step in evolution, the change of seasons. Every one is chosen, we must work to create the reality that we want to see. Because we all share common ground, namely death, we are all equals in the world. There are no outliers, we just have different skills and talents. The people who we call outliers are really people who took the time to caltivate their talents. The things you own end up owning you.

The rise of consumerism is one of the reasons depression is so rife in the west and just about everywhere in the world. Consumerism is good for the capitalist system but not for the human spirit. This is because as human beings, we can’t help but to compare ourselves with others. It’s hardwired into our brains. Comparing is what creates meaning and it helps us classify things to see our progress in life. However it also creates anxiety because if I can’t get that German car my neighbor recently purchased then I feel worthless. The things you own end up owning you but a minimalistic life is not the answer either. Moderation is a big word in this context. Know yourself and what works for you and practice that. Don’t keep up with the Jones, keep up with your budget and responsibilities. I have simulated losing everything in my mind. This is a stoic exercise that helps me conquer fear, because if I am comfortable losing everything then I am free. Free to actualize, free to be what destiny intended.

Life is broader than material things. Life is emotions, perceptions and sensations. Life is awareness. Life is presence. Life is precious. Life is a miracle. Life is a beautiful process that keeps on getting better. Life is evolution and progression. Life is freedom. Life is creation. Life is love.

I realized a while back that earth was heaven. Heaven is not some Utopia that you get to, Heaven is already within. Heaven is what you create and God gave us complete control of our minds to create. Expression is creation and mind is expression. This is it. It doesn’t get better than this. You have the responsibility to create your own Heaven, simply because Heaven is a state of mind.

I’ve never really cared much for materials, I prefer creating experiences, they last longer. Still, I’ve always loved money. Money is power. Money buys a priceless commodity, time. But because money is external, it can be dangerous because of the imprints you attach to it. Money can repossess your soul, that’s if you identity with it and it’s difficult not to because society teaches us to do so.
