Be weird

Be weird

Be weird, do strange things, follow your heart, never let anybody surpress who you are. We all have that inner voice, that inner guide, channeling us to who we truly are. This voice manifests itself in these eccentricities that make us stand out like a nail that needs to be hammered in. The world hates anything that stands out, something that’s different, that’s why we are indoctrinated into a system that teaches us to think the same, to be the same. The conditioning is so deep its starts from when we children at school. We wear uniforms that make us look like everybody else, we follow these social constructs that enable mobilization and control, we shame anything that is different, we follow the curriculum, we weed out individuality and we reward complicity and fabricated standards that cater to the majority. It continues up until adulthood and in the process we lose who we are. We become one dimensional. We are trapped in a loop, we do the same things over and over again. We want the same things. Our dreams get sucked out from our bodies like liposuction. The magic from under our feet dissipates and we stop looking at the world with novelty. We stop trusting ourselves and following our intinuations. We lose our wonder of the world. We die at a faster rate. We lose the fire in our belly. Enthusiasm wanes and the lens of our lives becomes dull and larthagic. We forget who we are. We learn to hate ourselves and the lives we lead. Why do you want to fit into a standard when you are already a standard? We forget the magnificence of life and the miracle it is. A one size fits all approach begins to define us. I say fuck boxes and standards, I am gonna do me. If you don’t like it tough, go jump off a bridge. No one is going to tell me who I should be. The only authority figure in my life is me. Maybe my style is foreign to you, maybe my mannerisms offend you, to that I say go suck a dick my good man. I ain’t changing for you. It’s either you love me or leave me alone and if you don’t feel my style, you don’t exist to me – poof be gone!

I advocate two words that will change your life, words that will enhance the quality of your life and lead to a life of authencity. Be weird, do different things, combine combinations, see different patterns, do crazy stuff, be an outcast, risk ridicule. Be weird, be the minority, embrace being laughed at, risk failure, be unsafe, try out different colors, be unexpected, be prepared to offend. Be weird, no one has to understand, let your inner voice guide you, have the spirit of a child, see magic in the world, see novelty in everything, be inquisitive, draw inspiration from everything, sway away from being normal, be weird. Don’t be afraid of being who you truly are.

Enthusiasm

Enthusiasm

Enthusiasm is what keeps the world spinning. The will to do something and do it great.

Passion is not a prerequisite,
it can be turned on and off like switch. Connecting you to your dreams
like a neural link,
illuminating your perception of reality.

Enthusiasm is what gets you to stand-up,
to fight,
to believe,
to dare,
to live life.

Enthusiasm is a state of creation,
the Lego blocks of destiny.

Enthusiasm is to strive,
to be hopeful about the future.

Enthusiasm is to give everything you have got. No excuses,
I am accountable for my life,
I am accountable for my decisions.

Enthusiasm is being a dreamer.

Enthusiasm is being crazy,
at least for a while.
Advancements of humanity are credited to madmen.

Enthusiasm is to take many shots,
keep shooting,
that’s how you get goals.

Enthusiasm is to never quit.

Keep going soldier,
you are on the right path.

Everything great needs enthusiasm.

Kaffers, Negros and Jews

Kaffers, Negros & Jews.

There’s something funny about blatant racism, it’s not disguised like a mask or make-up for a George Lucas film, it’s in your face like a pimple, it’s direct like counterattack, the message is simple, you are beneath me like limbo. Humor centers around human nature, humor is human nature, it humanizes, it is tragic and like life a comedy. Humor is used to communicate superiority, it is a mechanism for suppression. Humor is used for relief. Humor is about inferiority. Mein Kampf is your definitive example of humor. Hitler is a bad motherfucker who blames the injustices of life on the Jews, he makes them the butt of the joke. He is small, petty and hateful. He calls the Jews bloodsuckers among other things. He is Hell’s orator, handpicked by the Devil himself. He propogates an image of fifth and unworthiness. Thank God he’s not a Jew, he’s perfect and was chosen by God and natural selection, the hypocrisy of it all! Like hey, “my God has a bigger dick than yours so I am going to kill your whole people”. Human nature is such a humorous subject. Apartheid is the funniest topic of them all – honorable mention the KKK, they have a flag, a uniform and burn crucifixes. Led by Dr. Daniel Malan, it is oppression at its finest. Imagine a political campaign centered around the term “Swart gevaar” which translates to “Black is dangerous”! The National Party fought the election on the twin slogans of “Die kaffer op sy plek” (the nigger in his place) and “Die koelies uit die land” (Indians back to India). Straight out of a scene from Mississippi Burning. 12 Years a Slave and Barry Jenkins’ Underground Railroad deserve a mention. I am convinced apartheid was a beef based on dick sizes, you know the stereotype about Africans and their cannons and whites with their palette guns. Where do you think the term “Mandingo” comes from? No it doesn’t originate from Tarantino’s “Django Unchained”. It comes from white racist slave owners to refer to the blacks huge dicks. All racism is a psychological phenomenon about dick sizes. I have additional proof, read Freudian Psychology, it’s a sensitive issue, whites are insecure about size. It’s only natural that the Kaffers and Koelies become butt of the joke, the punchline. You detect a bit of Nazi? You’re right! The National Party refused to support Great Britain and publicly sympathized with Nazi Germany. Dr. Daniel Malan serving as South Africa’s Adolf Hitler! As the Nationalists put it, “Die wit man moet altyd baas wees” (The white man must always remain boss). This is definitely about dick sizes, like “we hate everyone operating 9 inche equipment”! It’s so unfortunate that every man of color is classified in the 9 inche category, death by stereotype. To Hitler & Dr. Malan, I empathize with you big dicks must be intimidating! The insecurity makes me tear up, like a girl with small tits who supplements them to make them look bigger. The blatant oppression is a punchline on its own like “Big lips one side and whites to the otherside”, that’s the only criterion, that dictates your future.

I once had a teacher in high school who had a student stand-up in class and asked “You know what’s the difference between you and me?”. He held a pencil vertical to the students nose and the pencil touched his lips. Horrified a couple of us let out a nervous and uncomfortable laugh. It was a joke that bombed. The class wasn’t impressed considering it was a dig at all of us, we were Kaffers and he was Afrikaner. It wasn’t like Ms. Morello on “Everybody hates Chris”, she’s naively racist, but actually funny and she genuinely loves Chris (not really). I have to admit I like the character of Ms. Morello even though she’s a racist, she knows a lot about black culture, is enthusiastic and cheerful and let’s not forget dates black guys. Still her stereotypes are brutal, I am often torn apart between laughing and being flabbergasted. She’s the only racist with a green card in my book and like Chris, I can let her comments slide. Quite clearly she’s ignorant but she usually means well, I detect empathy in her tone of voice, she attempts to be understanding, she is not a malicious person, maybe passive aggressive and condescending but it’s a sitcom, I appreciate the work of the writers. Uncle Ruckus is the best racist character ever, that right there is pure comedy gold! Joe Rogen doesn’t get a green card, he called black people Apes, that wasn’t entertaining Joe, I mean you walked into a cinema in a black neighborhood and it was like “Planet of the Apes” – DAMN! Oh yea Joe, you not exempt from using the “n – word” NIGGA! Remember when Booker-T called Hulk Hogan a nigga? The regret on his face after he said it was priceless, cause the dreaded word just slipped out, that promo is the funniest of all time! But I digress. With my high school teacher, it was sadistic, it was an abuse of power and he was actually the minority, the pencil demonstration was a blatant middle finger. “What a racist fucker” was the internal monologue, so small minded, sad and primitive. No self-awareness, he thought he was making a joke but it boomeranged and laughed at him. He is honestly lucky there wasn’t a riot against him. The failed attempt at humor seemed to highlight everything that was wrong about him. He hanged himself with his own rope, it was sad, he was pathetic. There’s something funny about blatant racism.

WWE

WWE

I love the WWE. As a company wow, they have so much imagination. Vince McMahon did it, he created the perfect company, a company based on his passion. He took this small dream and made it gigantic. Their slogan is “Then, Now, Forever” how fitting. The WWE has been around for generations, it has been popular culture for generations and has had many golden eras. From WCW to ECW to WWF to today’s WWE. It is immensely entertaining. The Kayfabe, the personas, the grand entrances, the music, the commentators – Jerry the King Lawler, Jim Ross, Tazz and Michael Cole, the catch-phrases, the promos, the gimmicks, the emotions they stir-up, the crowd and the talent in the ring. WWE is exciting! Everything is so structured and beautifully packaged. The storylines keep the spectators and audience emotionally attached and attuned. The personas give us an avenue to project our undesirable characteristics and feelings. This is so effective because everyone is repressed and we must not give in to our animal urges because society deems them undesirable and they can get you incarcerated. So, the next best thing in projecting those undesirable qualities is being a Randy Orton fan; a character who is sly, vindictive, sinister and two-faced, who claims to hear voices in his head telling him to do bad things and so he obliges. Randy Orton is unsportsmanlike, he injures his fellow competitors by kicking them in the head thus causing concussions and ending their careers. He once kicked the chairman of WWE Vince McMahon in the head and won the Royal Rumble the next day, guaranteeing himself a spot to headline WrestleMania. And so he was exempted from the repercussions of kicking the founder of the WWE in the head. These are the type of storylines that keep the fans engaged. WWE tackle morality, the subject of good and bad in their storylines and the wrestlers are exceptionally good in communicating this with the audience. Somebody like John Cena was exceptional on the mic. But they don’t just sell morality, they sometimes do unbelievable and the jaw-dropping. In the early 2000’s, Brock Lesnar superplexed The Big Show who weighed in at 500 pounds on the top rope, a move that dismantled the ring. The superplex was forceful and hard that the two wrestlers couldn’t compete anymore, medical assistance was dispatched to assist. We don’t know if WWE planned that or they were just as shocked as the rest of the world. What transpired was a freak of nature – it was like a natural disaster and the images are imprinted on every WWE fan. WWE can be spontaneous and chaos can roam out and throw everything on its head. However, much is controlled through the personas they have created for the wrestlers. They stage confrontations of two personas exhibiting a dislike for one another to garner hype and excitement to sell tickets and get an audience. One persona I loved was that of Eddie Guerrero billed as “Latino Heat”. His gimmick was that of “He lies, he cheats, he steals”, what this gimmick entailed is that he did everything and anything to win a wrestling match. Through this persona, Eddie was unethical and unsportsmanlike, he delivered low-blows to the opponents when the referee wasn’t looking, he hit opponents with foreign objects when the referee wasn’t looking, he raked and blinded opponents, he basically did everything that was morally unjust. Still, the fans loved him. He was one of the staples of the Smackdown brand when it started, along with wrestlers like “The Undertaker” “Brock Lesnar”, “Kurt Angle”, “JBL” and Rey Mysterio. What made Eddie Guerrero special was the fact that he could be a “fan favorite” and later play the “heel”, the heel is someone who everyone hates. Because of this rare ability he was the face of the Smackdown brand. Eddie Guerrero was supremely entertaining. He could captivate the crowd and make them laugh and he could make them boo their lungs out. He was a gem. RIP Eddie Guerrero. The WWE has its own world and they sell merchandise, make movies and generates millions through their trademark brands. They also have development hubs all around the world for aspiring and up and coming wrestlers. The talent they have on their rosters (Raw and Smackdown) are amazing. They are athletic and professional. They look like they love what they do. They are committed. They live the Kayfabe. You can see it on their faces, they are living their dreams. It is a beautiful billion dollar company. I love this company!

WWE Product II: HHH

WWE Product II. HHH

HHH becomes creative chief and this is what happens? That’s what I am talking about WWE! This was an outstanding match. It moved the furniture, it was crazy, some kid tried to cash in his money in the bank contract to ruin it, he hit Roman Reigns with the briefcase on his head, luckily Brock hit him with an F-5 and ended his ambitions, the referee he came with went back to the locker room empty handed, what a couple of jerks. The Undisputed tag team champions, the Usos, came by to assist Roman Reigns with Brock Lesnar and they literally buried him alive, couldn’t answer to the 10 count. Also Paul Heyman got a F-5 on top of the commentary table, it was long overdue. Brock Lesnar also lifted the ring up with a tractor, driving the world bananas and sending the commentors in dilirium, nothing like that has ever happened in the world, we were shocked! I also heard the company is not PG anymore, it’s now 14, that’s good, that’s something, it won’t be like the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression eras but it’s something, it’s reasonable. Things are looking good at the WWE.

WWE Product

WWE Product

Stacy Kiebler, those legs. God bless the Attitude Era and the Ruthless Aggression Eras. That version of WWE was entertaining. I am in mourning, the product WWE has today sucks. It’s too soft, politically correct and packaged. This “PG family stuff” doesn’t make for good entertainment. It’s a waste of my time. I wish I could rewind to the 90’s and early 2000’s, nothing can beat that WWE. Awesome storylines, controversial takes, groundbreaking revelations, the drama, the story, great wrestling, great gimmicks, great commentary, exciting, believable, entertaining, imaginative, innovative, full of enthusiasm, funny, sexy, a roster flooding with actual charismatic stars and just overall great content. Today’s product makes me sad. Sure they have Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey but that’s ALL they have, that’s not enough. Ronda and Brock while great inside the ring have no microphone skills. Roman Reigns is aided by Paul Heyman. The company has no real stars. Back then they had The Rock, Stone Cold, HHH, Mick Foley, Goldberg, Shaun Michaels, The Undertaker, Kane and they were succeeded by Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero, John Cena, Batista, JBL, Edge, Randy Orton, I could go on and on and on. The roster had an influx of talent and plenty of stars in the making. It was vibey and unpredictable. Today they have zero stars, literally just Roman Reigns. If your favorite wrestler got an injury and was out for months back then he’d have to start at the bottom when he returned, there was competition. Everyone was hungry. Ideas flowed and there was experiments. Remember the uproar Eugene caused? Some thought WWE took it way too far, certainly a character like Eugene would never see the light of day in 2022. But that’s what made the product great because of storylines and gimmicks like that. The product also lacks sex-appeal, it’s too dull, lazy, repetitive and has lost its showmanship. It’s safe and insipid with no source of inspiration. I don’t like today’s Divas, they are musculine and angry, no feminine essence whatsoever. What’s the use of having Divas in the show if they are bad imitations of the men? I remember a time when we had Trish, Lita, Micki James, Beth Phoenix, Michelle McCool, Sable, Maria, Dawn Marie, Stacy Kiebler and Torrie Wilson. Divas back then were superior, the entertainment value was better, storylines relatable and the matches were more iconic. Today’s segments and promos are uninspiring. The wrestling is awful and the commentary mediocre at best. It’s just not the same without Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler. The enthusiasm is not the same. The crowd interactions are not the same. The credibility and believability isn’t there anymore. It’s like the magic dissipated away. Maybe the Trademarks and Merchandise are selling like hotcakes but what about the product? What about the content? What about the entertainment value? Creatives need to reign again in the company for it to have a great product. The writing has to improve. Stars need to be made and integrated to the show. Showmanship and sex has to return. The “PG family” rating is dragging the show to its grave. It’s hard to get excited about a WWE match. The product is a huge disappointment, it’s been that way for a while.

Connect better real life or social media

Connect better real life or social media

The internet has done amazing things when it comes to connecting us. It has has made things easier and convenient.

I got invited to a braai and I saw a girl that I liked and so I hugged her, she held me tight. She was warm and smelled really good. She was happy to see me, the evidence came from her voice, it was cheerful and high pitched. Her body language was open towards me, her legs were facing me and her hands were spread out for me to embrace her. She was enthused.

Then I sat next to a girl who clearly has the biggest crush on me. She was fidgeting, nervy and moving all the time. She had a nervous energy, she touched her hair and kept moving her legs anxiously. This was until her boyfriend saw all that energy and told her to come sit next to him, she was relieved and went right next to him. After that she was calm and stopped being so nervous and nervy, she collaborated more with the social group. I tend to have that effect on the ladies, they love me. Truthfully I understand, I am amazing.

Then I conversed with my friends about soccer, it was passionate and hearty. We also talked a lot about stupid and improbable things, we laughed a lot. There was alcohol and so I drank. There was also weed and I smoked. It was great, plus we had music and everyone was dancing. The drinks in the cooler were cold and we took out Hagermeister straight out the freezer for some shots. Everyone’s body language was open, everyone was happy. The place had a vibe and energy.

Zoom meetings or FaceTime doesn’t have that. You can’t scout people’s mannerisms, you can’t see body language, you see what I only want you to see, you can’t feel the sensations like cold beer and a warm hug. You also can’t be spontaneous, everything is structured and the meeting has to end. You can’t change locations or move around. There’s no food and you can’t share a joint with your friends. Zoom and FaceTime are good only if you intend on being professional, when the process has a clearly defined end-goal.

Cognitive Dissonance

Cognitive Dissonance

I remember when a friend of mine had some news he wanted to tell his inner circle. He decided to start a business and the responses were overwhelmingly positive except for one comment. It wasn’t that bad but it was disguised, sly, hidden and subtle. The comment was “Well done, hopefully you’ll make some money”. I felt it was in bad taste because he implied that he was doing this for the money. He shifted the focus of the news of starting the business to making money.

The comment was passive aggressive. That is what cognitive dissonance is about. Saying one thing and doing another. It is poisonous praise. It is being conflicted, it is being split into two, it is confusing, it is inconsistent. Like God loving us and sending us to hell. What a suspect anology Christianity.

I think that passive aggressive language and behavior works so much because it is indirect and leaves much to the imagination. Being passive aggressive is popular today. Like that one person who always comes late for meetings and always apologizes, like “alright man we get it, you superior to all of us”. Or that one guy who takes an eternity to respond to your texts despite the fact that his been online all day, we see the power play my man.

Deep narcissists are masters of passive aggressive behavior. They want to keep you dependent on them. They are deluded because we always see what they are doing. They think they are clever and slick but we see. Everyone knows a deep narcissist.

Carl Jung has taught me to accept people as they are, accept them as facts, don’t take things personally because we are all repressed and we tend to project on to people a lot. We also have shadows and biases. Being a human being is hard work.

Tribes

Tribes (Communities)

To create something of significance and value, you need a tribe or community of people pulling in one direction. They don’t have to share blood, heritage or anything binding biologically, they just have to be like-minded. I like the example of Henry Ford. What he did with the automobile industry was amazing. In that time, cars were available but they were expensive and reserved for the wealthy and affluent. Henry Ford had a dream of making the automobile affordable for the average American. He came to the realization that he would need economics of scale to mass produce and save costs. The revolutionary thinking never stopped there. Essentially he started Capitalism by getting investors involved and creating the assembly line. The Ford company started mass producing cars but he also realized sales would be slow if there wasn’t a system in place. He created the modern 9-5 work week. This way employees would produce the vehicles mid-week and purchase them on the weekend. It was a success.

Ford grew and made money for his investors. I think that’s a beautiful example of Capitalism, that’s where everything started. I think the socialist economy is cool too. Countries like Sweden are beautifully run. There’s a lot of peace of mind considering everyone has access to the best schools, hospitals and other facilities. Systems like that guarantee peace of mind. Of course it can go bad like it did in the 20th century but I see a lot of positives. It’s a fair and just system. The only problem I see is parting with 50-60% of my income tax.

I also like what Mark Zuckerberg did with Facebook. I love the culture he instilled in the company. I love how clear their vision is “make the world more open”. Essentially to connect everyone in the world. To help him in his cause, he got the best people by his side. Today Facebook has over 2 billion active users. That’s powerful, it all started with a tribe, a community of students.
